[driver-discuss] Intel 10GE AT2 (copper) support

Hi,
i just tried to get one of the new Intel 10 GE cards (10 Gigabit AT2
Server Adapter - 10GE, copper with RJ45 connector, single port) with the
82598EB controller, up and running. I upgraded to the latest dev version of
ixgbe (SUNWixgbe@0.5.11,5.11-0.125:20091013T070442Z), but ixgbe still
respons with '[ID 611667 kern.warning] WARNING: ixgbe1: Failed to identify
hardware'. With the prior release of that NIC card (just 'AT' instead of
'AT2') with the same controller i've seen no problems at all. Any newer
(experimental) driver versions available somewhere i can try ????

Hi Martin,
The device ID should be 8086,150B. Please check this in `/usr/X11/bin/scanpci`
or `prtconf -vp`. Support for this device has not been in the latest snv,
but soon will be (1-2 weeks I guess). The code is at the testing stage...

If someone can let me know how to access this driver, that would be great. I ordered a few AT cards, but they shipped me AT2 cards. Should I send them back? Will this driver really be ready in a couple of weeks?
