Well, I am using Studio 12 now with the latest patches :
$ cc -V
cc: Sun C 5.9 SunOS_sparc Patch 124867-11 2009/04/30

I applied all of these to this V880 :

I figure that is the correct patch set for any production environment and
it is probably safe for this purpose. For any purpose in fact.
Sadly .. I have started over from scratch here .. my own fault.
Now then ... since the OpenSolaris.org website is entirely in the hands of
Sun employees ... will someone put the README.opensolaris back ? please ?

That's up to the ON gatekeepers to fix, so lets see what happens if we cc
on-discuss so they actually see the message.
