Applications tested under the lx brand

The following table shows which applications have been tested under the lx brand and describes how well, or poorly, they worked. There are three levels of success:

  • Green: Works flawlessly, or nearly so.
  • Yellow: Major functionality works, but significant problems have been observed.
  • Red: Failures are significant enough to render application useless.

If an application is listed as 'red' or 'yellow' below, it does not mean that the application will never work. Development of the lx brand is ongoing, and we are constantly striving to deliver a higher-fidelity Linux environment. As this is all Open Source software, you are welcome – nay, encouraged! – to dig deeper into why your favorite application is failing, and possibly even provide a fix.

If your experience with an application differs from that reported below, or if you have a report of a new application, please send it to brandz dash discuss at opensolaris dot org.
