Current Open Sourced DocumentationThis page references all of the OpenSolaris docs that are currently open sourced. To see translations of these docs, go here: Translations Open sourced documentation is available to the OpenSolaris community in a variety of formats and via 3 access points: 1) a docs consolidation tarball, 2) the OpenSolaris source Mercurial repository, and 3) the OpenSolaris Information Resources wiki: Docs consolidation tarballA tar file of documentation in Solbook 3.5 XML format. The tarball is available on the download center and is routinely updated with doc updates. These updates are announced in the docs-discuss forum and mail alias and the opensolaris-announce forum and mail alias. There are community and open source tools available for converting from Solbook to Docbook XML, creating OpenSolaris branded HTML. The primary intent of this tarball is to provide documentation for community members who want to redistribute documentation with their own OpenSolaris distros. To find more on the content on the doc tarball, use these links:
Mercurial repositoryThe Mercurial repository hosts the source files for OpenSolaris, including a small set of open source documentation that is in Solbook 3.5 XML format.
Wiki doc sourceDocumentation created on the OpenSolaris Information Resources wiki is governed by the PDL and available to the community. The terms of use (TOU) on wikis.sun.com also applies. For more information, see:
