On Thursday October 9th 2008 the Dutch OpenSolaris User Group will hold its sixth meeting at Sun Microsystems Nederland headquarters, Amersfoort (http://nl.sun.com/companyinfo/adressen/saturnus.html). Solaris developers, users, enthusiasts, experts and novices are all welcome. Theme for this meeting: IPS, the Image Packaging System for OpenSolaris We will start at 19:30, agenda as follows: Bart Muijzer, NLOSUG host, will give an update on the group. Bart Smaalders, Senior Staff Engineer, will present on the Image Packaging System (IPS). IPS is targetted as the successor of the current Solaris package management suite and developed entirely as an OpenSolaris Project (ref: opensolaris.org/os/project/pkg/). After the break Bart Muijzer will act as a moderator during the NLOSUG CORE Refresh. The evening will be concluded with a "Speakers Roundtable" in which several speakers will present on various subjects. Of course there will be plenty of time for socializing and networking.
