OpenSolaris Project: Puget Sound OpenSolaris User GroupView the leaders for this projectProject Observers Endorsing communitiesAdvocacy Community Group
The purpose of the this group is to aid and abet OpenSolaris users in the Puget Sound area. Whether you want to develop a new project, check out the latest OpenSolaris source code or just try out another operating system, this community is here to provide technical (and maybe emotional) support. Previously this group was called the Seattle OpenSolaris User Group, but since the local Sun office is in Bellevue and the group's leadership is on Bainbridge Island, the group was renamed to cover a larger area. The next meeting will be held this coming October and will feature an Introduction to OpenSolaris presentation by Alan Perry. Subsequent quarterly meetings are planned. If you have an interest in a particular topic, just ask and we will try and find a suitable expert to speak. In addition the meeting in person, there is a Puget Sound OpenSolaris User Group mailing list. To join, you can send an empty e-mail to ug-psosug-subscribe(at)opensolaris(dot)org or check out the mailing list's sign-up page. Archives of the old Seattle OpenSolaris User Group mailing list can be found here.
