Looking to see if someone has already converted a service you use to
smf(5)? Want to save your peers time, or impress us all with
your novel use of the Service Management Facility? Find or submit the
service conversion to smf-discuss AT opensolaris.org,
and it will appear here. If possible, simply send a link to the manifest, and give it a copyright and (OSI-approved) license.
Feel free to comment on the conversions already present.
This service attempts to ensure that a range of anonymous ports for
UDP traffic are protected by setting the network parameter udp_smallest_anon_port. See detail provided in manifests comments.
OpenNTPD is a new minimalist NTP daemon from the OpenBSD project. It is
designed to be a lean and secure alternative to the standard ntpd or
xntpd daemons, including only the functionality necessary for most users
(basic synchronization to an NTP server and simple time service).
