SBD and KMF test suites released | 03/21/2008

We are pleased to announce the release of the test suites for
the Secure by Default (SBD) and Key Management Framework (KMF)
projects. In addition, all the previously released test source
and packages have been updated to the current version.

The SBD test suite is an STF-based functional test suite for
the Secure by Default feature of Solaris, as implemented by
the netservices(1M) command. The test suite utilizes features
of the checkenv test tool, dtrace(1M), smf(5) and netstat(1M)
to verify the correctness of Secure by Default functionality
in the global as well as non-global zones. We acknowledge the
efforts of Xiong-Fang "Clarence" Nie of Solaris Quality
Engineering for developing and releasing the SBD test suite.

The SBD project is located at:
http://www.opensolaris.org/os/community/security/projects/sbd/

Questions about the SBD test suite should be emailed to:
security-discuss@opensolaris.org

The KMF test suite is an STF-based test collection containing
basic functionality tests for libkmf(3LIB) interfaces and the
kmfcfg(1) and pktool(1) utilities. Wu "Joe" Xu of the Solaris
Quality Engineering team helped develop and release the current
version of the KMF test suite.

The Key Management Framework project is located at:
http://www.opensolaris.org/os/project/kmf/

Questions about the KMF test suite should be emailed to:
kmf-discuss@opensolaris.org

Test source tarballs and packages for these test suites can be downloaded at:
