Sun Studio 11 Special SPARC Instructions for Build 88 (and later)

As of build 88, buildin ON on SPARC requires files from the Sun Performance Library in Sun Studio 11. A version of the Sun Studio Install Image for SPARC that includes these files will be available shortly.

To obtain Sun Studio 11 with patches on SPARC for building ON build 88 and later, do the following:

• Download the Product Packages for Sun Studio 11 for the Solaris SPARC platform
• Follow the Download Instructions available on that page to extract and install Sun Studio 11. Include the Sun Performance Libary as part of installation.
• Obtain the following patches from SunSolve:
  • 121015-04 - C
  • 121017-07 - C++
  • 120760-11 - Common Compiler Backend
  • 122135-02 - Sun Performance Library
• Apply the patches.
