Introduction

The project aims to develop a GUI application on Solaris to let desktop users easily know about the devices information and manage the devices by clicking mouse and some necessary inputing. By the GUI application, the desktop users will not need to manually run the command lines for the general devices management, for example, disable/enable devices, install/uninstall device driver and so on.

Project Status

(Investigation)

The current Gnome-device-manager is the GUI application of HAL, which presents the device information well. One proposed approach is to enhance the HAL

and Gnome-device-manager by the cooperation with HAL community to implement this in Solaris.
