AnnouncementsEthernet Bridge Project Introduction | 01/10/2006We have created a project space on OpenSolaris.org for development of an Ethernet bridge module for Solaris. A few engineers in the Solaris Core Networking team at Sun put together a prototype, and in the spirit of "release early, release often" we invite any interested parties to try out the code (keeping in mind its experimental and unsupported status) or to make their own changes to it. It can even be run on an existing Solaris system, you don't have to rebuild the kernel or anything. Over time we will be adding this feature to OpenSolaris so feel free to give us comments on this early version that we can incorporate into the final product. |
