Welcome to the OpenSolaris Live Media project.

This project is all about running Solaris on CD, DVD, or a flash memory device. Currently, we've developed a prototype called "livekit" that uses a Solaris Express DVD or netinstall image to create a Live DVD ISO or USB memory stick image that provides a bootable Solaris Express desktop environment. This prototype is based largely on the work that Moinak has done to create the Belenix Live CD distribution.

The best way to get the current livekit is to use our Mercurial repository; you can pull it using:

hg clone ssh://anon@hg.opensolaris.org/hg/livemedia/livemedia

and follow the instructions in the README file. You can also browse the sources.
