The Network Storage project consists of drivers, libraries and utilities in support of storage interconnect technologies including both Fibre Channel and iSCSI. The Network Storage project currently includes:

• Fibre Channel Transport
• Interfaces for Fibre Channel HBA Drivers and hardware
  
• iSCSI (software initiator)
• Solaris iSNS Server
• Storage Management APIs
• Storage Management Utilities
• Sun StorageTek Availability Suite (AVS)

Notes and Notices:

• FCA drivers binaries for Emulex are not included in this release of OpenSolaris but are being reviewed for future revisions.
  Please continue to use the version included with Solaris Express.
  
• Compiler notice: The Network Storage source code utilizes the Sun Studio 11 compiler as of Build 52.
