Whether you're new to OpenSolaris or a seasoned sysadmin, a developer, or simply a curious computer user, we encourage you to join us. STLOSUG is a SIG (special interest group) affiliated with the St. Louis UNIX Users Group. Next Meeting: Tuesday, October 21st, 2008Topic: ZFS root; Solaris 10 10/08 update "What's New" Our October meeting's speaker will be Bob Netherton. Having ZFS as your root filesystem is very powerful, but it also implies some changes in our admin habits and best practices. Bob will give a good look at ZFS root, and will go over "What's New" in the upcoming Solaris 10 10/08 release. Meeting InfoThe St. Louis OpenSolaris Users Group meets on the third Tuesday of each month. Meetings are in the same building as the Sun Microsystems office, on the second floor. Parking is available in the garage immediately east of the building. Address: Sun Microsystems, Inc.; 622 Emerson Road; Second Floor presentation room; St. Louis, MO 63141 The starting time for meetings is currently under discussion. We will be starting the October meeting either at 6:00 or 7:00pm — stay tuned for developments here. Discussion ListsThe [ug-stlosug] email discussion list is hosted at opensolaris.org.
